Research and application project for an educational app (K12 Reader - Voki)

My presentation was based on an explanation of these educational websites (K12 Reader and Voki). Before presenting, I researched these websites, taking my time to study each one, and seeing how they work so I could have the necessary information for the presentation. Regarding challenges during the presentation, I didn't really have any; everything went smoothly. At the end of the presentation, some questions were asked about my research, and through interaction with the audience, we were able to create an environment that fostered learning and participation, enhancing communication as teaching. For future presentations, I would try to control my nerves a bit. 

The K12 Reader website is designed to help students improve their reading and comprehension skills. Teachers can access a variety of educational resources, such as worksheets and reading activities, that can be integrated into lessons. One advantage is that it has a wide range of worksheets and activities covering various reading skills, such as comprehension and text analysis. These materials are also printable and can be used both in the classroom and at home, making them easy for parents and educators to use; and one of the disadvantages is that some resources may not be up to date, which could affect the relevance of the materials in a constantly changing educational environment. This page can be a good option, because you can search for free and varied educational resources, which makes it more practical.

The purpose of the Voki website is to provide a platform that allows users to create animated, personalized avatars that can speak and present educational content. Teachers can create avatars that present key lessons or concepts, making the content more engaging for students. Some strengths include the ability to create avatars, allowing people to express their creativity and make learning more personal, it also helps students practice pronunciation and fluency; and one of the weaknesses is that although it offers customization options, these can be limited, since people have to pay to access other options. I would recommend Voki as it offers an innovative and engaging way to engage students in learning.
